Q: What was your first job after graduating?
My first job after leaving Manchester Met was as a product development lead with Stuncroft India Private Ltd.
Q: How did studying at Man Met help you reach your current position and why?
Specialisation in International Fashion Marketing has helped me stand out in the fashion industry, which is evolving very fast in India and values the international perspective and context that I could bring to it.
My experience at Manchester Met exposed me to a diverse mix of peers, which helped me develop an understanding of various cultures and also gave me a strong global alumni network. Marketing was my favourite subject: I loved the way the course was designed using the case study.
Q: Which skills gained at Man Met have you used most in your career so far?
My course at Man Met gave me a good insight of the retail supply chain. I also utilise the marketing and branding concepts learnt at Man Met extensively.
Q: What main skills that you use in your career would you advise students to work on?
Try to get a deep understanding of industry basics and dealing with diverse cultures.
Gain work experience in the same industry you’d like to work in while studying.
Dr Phoebe Apeagyei was extremely supportive and guided me very well during my final dissertation.
