About my career

My first role after graduation was of a Finance Accountant in a group company. As part of my role, I was involved in various assignments including preparation of consolidated group financials, preparation of statutory financial reporting information, due diligence reports and financial and operational information analysis. When searching for my first job, I applied through online company portals and was very proactive in my job search strategy, ensuring I had an updated resume and a LinkedIn profile. I currently work as a Supervisor in Tax and corporate services at KPMG Kuwait and I am involved in providing domestic and international tax advice to corporate clients and assisting them with their local tax planning and compliance matters.

My top tip for students is…

To start your career planning early, whilst you are still studying. This may include applying for internships, preparing for job interviews and networking. I also recommend that current students utilise the Careers and Employability Services.
