"I would not be who I am today without my tutors help."
About my career

Upon completion of the Bar Professional Training Course, I returned to Malaysia and went through several interviews at different firms where ultimately I managed to secure an offer with a local firm to start my compulsory 9-month chambering experience.

I am now a qualified lawyer in Malaysia in the practice of civil and family law. I am assigned to do the day to day file management under the supervision of one of the firm’s partner.   My daily work includes attending court, conferences with clients, undertaking research and drafting various cause papers.

My top tip for students is…

I really think that it is important for fresh graduates to stay positive and to not give up when applying for jobs, even when they do not receive any offers at that instant. Gain as much experience as you can, be it legal or non-legal work. Part-time jobs are also an added advantage because it develops your interpersonal and communication skills which can be useful regardless of what field you are in.

Why I love Manchester Met

I am grateful and thankful for my tutors in the BPTC course who have been really supportive and always motivated us to do better. I would not be who I am today without their help.
