Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship

for Apprentice Students

The need for people with digital skills is growing. Through the Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship, you will be fully equipped to lead on the creation and execution of digital marketing strategy and will benefit from industry best practice and cutting edge academic thinking. 

The Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeship is a great way of starting or progressing a career in this fast-paced sector. You will work full-time for one of the country’s leading employers or innovative SMEs, while studying towards a fully accredited degree.

The programme will enable candidates to earn a minimum starting salary of £12,000 per year and receive all the fantastic benefits of working in a digital marketing role.

Our next cohort will be starting in September 2020.


What You Will Study

You will study a curriculum that is centred on developing a broad understanding of the principles of marketing, web technologies and consumer behaviours. You will also have the opportunity to focus on the skills needed to become a digital marketing specialist in a number of roles, such as:

Personal Development‌

Apprentices also take part in communication, presentation and teamworking skills development, to help them work successfully with clients and colleagues.

Programme Delivery

The programme is taught at Manchester Metropolitan University’s state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of the city, for approximately 25 days each year over four years. Teaching will be in blocks of in two or three days and you will also undertake supported independent learning.

Whenever possible you will be able to use business challenges and scenarios from your own role as part of your work. You will also have regular updates with your University Skills Coach in person, on the phone or via video chat.

The Degree Award

Upon successful completion of the course, you'll achieve a BSc (Hons) in Digital Marketing. 

Entry Requirements

Due to coronavirus and the cancellation of A Level exams, we are currently reviewing our entry criteria for those affected. We will update this page when we have more information.

Existing entry criteria is as follows:

Candidates for the Degree Apprenticeship should have a minimum of 104 points at A2 (Grades BCC) or an equivalent e.g. BTEC DMM.

Applicants will also require Maths and English Language GCSE grade A*-C, or commit to undertaking Functional Skills during the programme. We will individually evaluate candidates who do not meet these requirements, but have workplace experience or have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme.
