The Manchester Classical Association aims to promote the discipline of Classics and Ancient History in the North West region. ManMet is one of a growing number of new universities developing research in the ancient and classical worlds, to new audiences. This event in particular will tie in with the university's Games Network.

The talk begins at 6pm, and will be followed by discussion with Mcr Classical Association Chair, Dr April Pudsey of Manchester Metropolitan University, and an informal Q&A with the audience. Event closes at 7pm.

All talks in our series are free and open to the public. Please join us for light refreshments from 5.30pm, when you will have opportunity to speak with members of the Mcr Classical Association, and find out more about our work promoting Classics and Ancient History around the region. We are a local charity and welcome members and anyone who wishes to be involved. Membership helps us fund a series of talks and events each year, as well as meetings for members and a regular series of children's activity workshops in Didsbury Library.
