Join us for a special end of residency event and celebrate the achievements of our first three Let the Artists In! poets-in-residence: Roma Havers, Lydia Hounat and Merrie Joy Williams.

Each of our poets will share their experiences of the residency, which took place over the summer, and there'll be the opportunity to see some of the objects and books from our collections that inspired them.

Let the Artists in! is a collaborative project from the Manchester Writing School, the Manchester Poetry Library, the Special Collections Museum and First Draft, an organisation that commissions brand new work inspired by collections in museums and libraries across the north of England. Let the Artists in! is generously supported by Arts Council England and The Writing Squad.
