Time: 5.15pm - 6.30pm

Location: Benzie 403

This week's ‘Provocation’ is a discussion of bio- and neurodiversity, and what these can mean for creative practitioners. This week's speakers are Jos Boys and Benedict Phillips.

Jos Boys is a pioneering architect whose approach is to work with the richness offered by our bio- and neuro-diversity. She is author of 'Doing Disability Differently: an alternative handbook on architecture, dis/ability and designing for everyday life' .

Benedict Phillips is an artist whose cross-disciplinary work investigates the nature of dyslexia in the creative process by proposing non-textual ways of producing knowledge. His work includes performance, activism, media, public art and photography. He is currently working on a research project on 'How to be a Dyslexic Artist'.

Our discussant this week is Manchester School of Architecture's joint head of school, Prof Stefan White.
This is a timely conversation for the faculty to have, and we are keen to hear contributions from across the faculty. The session are open to all staff and students in Arts and Humanities, they are free to attend, and seating is on a first come first served basis for a 5.15 prompt start. The venue is Benzie 403
