The Manchester Writing School at Manchester Met is delighted to present an evening with Jean Sprackland, celebrating the launch of her latest poetry collection Green Noise.

Jean Sprackland is the author of four previous collections, including Tilt, which won the 2007 Costa Poetry Award. She has published a book of creative non-fiction, Strands: A Year of Discoveries on the Beach, which won the 2012 Portico Prize. She is Chair of the Poetry Archive, the world's premier online collection of poetry recording and Professor of Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University, where is leading on the forthcoming Manchester Poetry Library.

Jean will be reading from and talking about Green Noise, and answering questions from the audience. The event is free to attend and all are welcome. Refreshments will be available and Jean will be happy to sign copies of the book, which will be on sale at a special Blackwell's bookstall.
