Dr Khawla Badwan has been chosen to act as a research consultant for the British Council.

Dr Khawla Badwan is Senior Lecturer in TESOL and Applied linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University

Dr Khawla Badwan's role as research consultant will help to conduct a language planning project looking into the readiness of higher education institutions in Tunisia to transition into English as a medium of instruction.

Dr Khawla Badwan is Senior Lecturer in TESOL and Applied linguistics at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is an applied linguist interested in language, globalisation and mobility. Her research has focused on the impact of mobility in a globalised and globalising world on the linguistic and cultural capital of mobile individuals. Badwan researches areas related to sociolinguistics, international student mobility, internationalisation in higher education, intercultural communication, and migration.
