Andrew Lacon

Andrew Lacon is an artist working in Birmingham, UK based at Grand Union. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2011 (MA), and previously, The University of Plymouth in 2008 (BA Hons).
Andrew is represented by Division of Labour and has exhibited internationally with his work held in both public and private collections. He is currently developing new work in response to his research into Latin America following residencies at SOMA, Mexico (2015), URRA, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2021) and Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo, Uruguay (2023).
Between 2015 – 2018, Lacon established and ran the project and gallery Recent Activity alongside artist Andrew Gillespie, delivering 5 solo exhibitions, 12 nomadic vitrines, 1 collaboration with the Syllabus Program and 3 offsite exhibitions.
