Biography
I am a social science researcher, my work interrogates issues around British Muslim identity, with a particular focus on the criminalisation of the British Muslim population through targeted counter-terrorism and security policies, the discursive construction of the Muslim ‘other’ in media, political and policy narratives, and the gendered nature of those increasingly normalised anti-Muslim narratives.
