Interests and expertise

I am a sociologist of personal life, with an expertise in contemporary intimacies. My work seeks to critically interrogate heteronormative frameworks and explore the diverse relationships and encounters that go beyond what is traditionally understood by ‘family sociology’. I have published on couple relationships, sexual practices, infidelity, dating apps, friendship and sex work, using a variety of research methods including interviews, focus groups, quantitative data analysis and discourse analysis.
