Biography

I am a tutor in the Psychology Department. I submitted my PhD Thesis in 2021 which investigated the effect of stress and alcohol on prefrontal cortex activity and cognitive performance in undergraduate students. 

I am interested in the psycho-biological mechanisms of stress and how this impacts executive functioning. I have experience with functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and physiological measures of stress (heart rate and skin conductance).

Supervision

I supervise a range of undergraduate student dissertation projects.  I also supervise projects at MSc level, including on the MSc Psychological Wellbeing in Clinical Practice and MSc Childhood Development and Wellbeing in Practice programmes.
