Reiji is a lecturer in Architectural Digital Design and a Leverhulme Doctoral Scholar within the Leverhulme Unit for the Design for Cities of the Future (LUDEC). His thesis, currently titled "Revitalising Alternative Future Cities: Systemic Environmental Cognition in an Multiplayer Online Multiplayer Game", examines environmental cognition and behaviour in collaborative design of speculative futures cities. This research connects his interdisciplinary research interests which include: Video game design and development, climate change, complex urban planning, game theory, climate fiction, and speculative futures. He is a currently a member of the Complexity, Planning and Urbanism [CPU]Lab and The Manchester Game Centre research groups.
