aAh! is Manchester Metropolitan University’s official student magazine.
In each print issue, aAh! magazine will interrogate one word which will run as a theme through our regular features, opinion pieces, spotlights, interviews, previews, art, poetry, flash fiction, photography and music. Our first is the UGLY issue. Pick up your copy on campus or read online.
aAh! is looking for writers, illustrators, filmmakers and photographers on an ongoing basis to help make its online and print platforms an informed, inspiring, witty and opinionated collection of student voices and talents that make our city brilliant. All Manchester Met students and alumni are invited to send in freelance contributions to aAh! For more information email aAh.firstname.lastname@example.org
aAh! engages students across the university and works to raise the skills and profile of the student body, while cultivating relationships with stakeholders in the city. Led by a dedicated team of students and supported by staff, aAh! publishes three print issues per year and facilitates a number of voluntary work experience and paid student opportunities.
In addition to the magazine, aAh! has developed a range of multimedia commissioned briefs which allow students to embark on a diverse range of writing, film, design and photography projects. aAh! offers students and graduates an engaging programme of training and the opportunity to work on live projects across a high-quality platform. Students receive bespoke mentoring and are given the support to grow their skills in a professional environment.
