Students win rent-free flats in city!

Manchester Masters competition

THREE MMU students have won rent-free flats in Manchester, a year’s work experience and funding for a Master’s degree after winning a graduate competition.

The Manchester Masters scheme, which aims to keep graduates in the city and develop their marketing careers, was entered by hundreds of students from across Manchester.

Chris Greener, 23, Ian McFadyen, 24, and Franziska Kohlisch, 25, are among 10 students to win a place on the scheme.

The trio made it through a series of Dragons Den-style pitches to business experts and one-to-one interviews during a two day ‘camp’ having already won over judges with a 30-second Youtube video advertising themselves.

The trio were chosen from around 130 applicants to accomplish tasks such as selling Razorlight tickets and water meters.
