Who am I?
Prior to joining academia in 1988, Rosane built her graduate career as an Information Systems Analyst and Developer working for Cia Vale do Rio Doce (the largest Brazilian state mining enterprise), then Medidata Informatica (a successful brazilian software company), and FERRANTI. She joined the University of Louvain in 1990 to carry out externally funded research in the field of Informatics and Education. In 1995 Rosane joined Manchester Metropolitan University Business School as a Lecturer in Business Information Technology.
Alongside the undergraduate and post graduate teaching, Rosane has taken up various coordination and quality assurance roles in programme management and development, internally and externally. Rosane has held four successful Fellowships in Academic Practice, each entailing research and development activities on a learning and teaching project. Rosane holds a BSc (Hons) Electrical Engineering, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Doctorate in Applied Sciences.
Other academic service (administration and management)
To provide academic leadership of taught postgraduate management and business programmes to effectively manage the ongoing development of management and business programmes. To develop, support and maintain successful partnerships with external agencies professional establishments and professional bodies and promote MMU for the Human Resource Management Programme suite. To teach on undergraduate and taught postgraduate management and business programmes contributing to the management and ongoing development of these programmes. Undertake research and scholarly activity in the field.
