If I had to sum up my experience in one sentence? It has been very balanced and eventful.

Why did you choose to study Sports Management?

I chose BA (Hons) Sports Management as I could connect my family’s business background with my passion for sport.

What made you want to come to Manchester Met?

I chose Manchester as it is the top global city for sport. I like to experience the different types of cultures in the world, and that has been the highlight of studying in Manchester so far.

It was quite easy for me in general to fit in, as I am very flexible. However, the big culture shock took me by surprise, and it took me time to ease in.

What have been the highlights of your experience so far?

Volunteering for different events and being exposed to different opportunities because of the city have been highlights.

My favourite part of the course was that the tutors have varied experiences from around the world, giving different insights.

The topics I really liked were CAS and SEC, as they were very economics-based (I like numbers) and practical thinking-based.

What are your plans for after the course is complete?

I would like to get some experience within the UK and then possibly do a Master’s degree.

What top tips would you give to students coming to Manchester Met in September to study on your course?

Take this opportunity seriously and try to enjoy what you are doing!

What top tips would you give to other overseas students coming to study at Manchester Met?

Come with an open mind – respect and give a chance to everyone and every experience.
