Why did you choose to study Sports Business Management at Manchester Met?

I enjoyed business at school and want to go into a career in sports events. I chose Manchester Met because I like Manchester as a city and didn’t want to be that close to home. The Business School looked great and also the sports element, those both stood out for me.

What have been the highlights of your experience so far?

My highlights include getting a high 2:1 last year, making friends and having good relationships with tutors.

Which topics have been your favourite so far and why?

My favourite part of the course? I loved the events module in my first year and the Strategic Sports Management (SSM) unit, which I studied as part of my 3rd year.

The events topic has been my favourite overall because I want to get a job in events management when I graduate, so it’s been really useful.

What kind of support do you get from tutors?

If I have a question and I email a tutor, I always get a reply. I have one-to-one meetings with my dissertation leader and personal tutor too.

What top tips would you give to students coming to Manchester Met in September to study on your course?
