As sport is now a part of the government's agenda, the importance of exercise and sport cannot be underestimated. Practitioners in the range of exercise and sport disciplines are crucial to this agenda. This subject area covers a vast array of specialisms that include: physiology, psychology, biomechanics, injury, and rehabilitation, coaching, and physical education.

We offer the chance to work within our Sport and Exercise Science centre, which contains interdisciplinary laboratories, an environmental chamber, genetics and biochemistry laboratories and a sports injury clinic.

This range of facilities means that whether your focus is on supporting international athletes competing at the highest level or helping the elderly regain their mobility, you can achieve your goals with us.

Another important aspect of our degrees is that everything offered is informed by current practice. This current practice is an important part of becoming 'workplace-ready'; building useful skills that cannot be taught in the classroom as well as contacts that students otherwise would not be exposed to.
