UNIVERSITY CLEARING 2018

IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO STUDY AT UNIVERSITY, CLEARING COULD GET YOU ONTO YOUR IDEAL COURSE WITH US.

We are at the heart of the UK’s most vibrant city, and although we are one of the largest student bodies in the country, you’ll find we are also one of the friendliest. Here you’ll make friends for life, meeting fellow students while you explore interests through clubs and societies.

If you have your sights set on university this September and don’t yet have a place confirmed, it’s not too late to apply for the right opportunity through Clearing at Manchester Met.

Perhaps you performed better than expected or you didn’t get the grades you needed for your offer. Maybe you have had a change of heart, or missed the 30 June deadline to apply through UCAS.

Clearing exists to match students without places to available courses. We expect to have limited places available to well-qualified applicants who apply through Clearing.

Once the lines are open, it’s first come first served – so it’s best to be prepared. Read the UCAS Guide to Clearing to get ready.

Do you already have your results? Skip the queues and phone us from 5 July on: 0161 247 3000. Secure your place ahead of A-level results day.

MANCHESTER IS THE ULTIMATE PLACE TO BE A STUDENT

As well as finding a university that meets your needs academically and personally, you'll want a city that gives you all the social, cultural and professional opportunities you need to make the most of your student experience.

If you like music - we were the birthplace of Oasis, The Smiths, and of course, Take That, and we have more music venues than anywhere else in the country. If you're into sports - we have two world-famous football teams, an international cricket ground, the National Cycling Centre, indoor skiing, two Olympic-size swimming pools, and loads of events for runners. How about shopping and going out? Manchester caters for every possible taste.

FINANCE AND ACCOMMODATION

If you've already applied for a student loan, but your details need to change due to clearing, you'll need to contact the relevant funding body. If it's Student Finance England, you can log into your student account.

You can still apply for a student loan if you haven't already, but it may take a little longer to process. Likewise, if you need to apply for a student maintenance loan, please do so as early as possible, as you'll also need a parent or guardian to complete the relevant sections.

Considering where you'll live? We expect availability in our halls of residence to be very limited, but there should be space in university-approved private accommodation. You can enquire about your options when you call us on A-level results day.
