Dr Tim Jung wins funding for AR/VR collaboration with Institute of Smart City, Shanghai University

Tim Jung, Director of the Creative Augmented and Virtual Reality Hub and Manchester Metropolitan University has won funding for the university through the Royal Society International Exchange Scheme.

The university has been awarded money to be used for travel and research expenses in order to facilitate the development of a collaborative VR Project with the Institute of Smart City, Shanghai University for the next 2 years (April 2017-March 2019) in the tourism and health sector.

This partnership has grown after Tim was introduced to Professor Wan, Director of the Smart City Institute in August 2016. The project is in line with Manchester Met’s culture of international collaborative work, and the university hopes that this project will help forge strong links with Shanghai University in the field of Creative AR/VR in the tourism and health sector.
