With over 35 years experience researching quantum theory, founding the York Centre for Quantum Technologies, we are hugely excited to welcome Professor Tim Spiller (University of York) to discuss quantum technologies.
Quantum technologies are new disruptive technologies. Fundamental aspects of quantum physics are instrumental in providing advantages over the conventional technology counterparts in areas such as quantum computing, sensing imaging and communications.
Prof Tim Spiller will outline examples and illustrate their "quantum advantage", before discussing the exciting topic of quantum communications in more detail.
This event is free and you do not need to register. Refreshments will be served from 5:45pm, with the lecture beginnig at 6:30pm.
