I am a senior lecturer in Primary Teacher Education. Currently, I am mainly teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate teaching studies modules, where I thoroughly enjoy the process of exploring the complex world of education together with my students. I am particularly interested in making links between education and the interconnected areas of philosophy, sociology, politics and psychology as well as deconstructing commonly held assumptions of what it means to be a teacher. My PhD explored the UK National Student Survey (NSS) as a neo-liberal governmental apparatus, using a Foucauldian and new-materialist analytical framework. I recently developed an interest in accelerationism, new-materialist interpretations of neuroscience, and utopian studies.
