At Manchester Metropolitan University, we offer curriculum-informed sessions to nurture the tech and science talent of tomorrow
We enjoy strong links with schools and colleges in Greater Manchester and further afield, and we invite students onto our campus to introduce them to the possibilities of further student study and future careers.
Not all scientists work in labs and wear safety glasses. It’s important for students to see this and feel that science is accessible to all.
We offer a range of activities that can be tailored for student interests and age groups. Our sessions link directly to GCSE, A-Level and BTEC curricula, which can support teachers in delivering content that may require specialist equipment.
As our staff are teaching full time, sessions will primarily take place on Wednesday afternoons. However, with enough notice, we may be able to accommodate additional needs.
We believe it is vital to showcase the wide variety of engineering disciplines. We aim to educate, inform and make engineering fun.
The Department of Engineering takes part in the annual Manchester Science Festival, school visits and public lectures. We also host events, lectures and workshops with professional bodies and industry partners, as well as events designed for students interested in studying engineering and STEM subjects at University.
