Haunted Spaces at Ordsall Hall

Date: Tuesday 29th October

Time: 7.30pm – 10.00pm

Location: Ordsall Hall, 322 Ordsall Ln, Salford

Tickets: £10 adult, £5 student – Available on Eventbrite

Organised by Dr Emma Liggins, Dr Matt Foley, Dr Ken Drinkwater and Fabrizio Cocchiarella

For this event, we will travel to the famous Ordsall Hall in Salford with HAUNT Manchester to find out more about haunted spaces and why stories about ghosts and spirits always focus on locality and architecture. The evening will include a guided tour of Ordsall Hall and its haunted rooms and staircases, and some short talks, ‘Ghost stories in War-time’ and ‘Apparitions in Fiction that speak to and guide us’. It will end with a parapsychology experiment in one of Ordsall Hall’s spookiest spaces.

This event is part of the 7th annual Gothic Manchester Festival which is themed on 'Gothic Times'. This year the festival will span the whole of October with a whole range of events exploring the Gothic throughout time for you to get involved in.

The Manchester Gothic Festival is organised by the Manchester Centre for Gothic Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University. Find out more details and our full events schedule on our website: mmu.ac.uk/english/gothic-studies/gothic-manchester-festival/
