MA English Studies:
Double-degree with Manchester Met and The University of Milan
"...if you like literature, if you like developing your critical thinking, you are in the right place!"
I am here in Manchester for the ‘double degree’ program - an agreement between my home university (University of Milan) and Manchester Metropolitan University that allows me to get the Masters’ degree in both institutions. The course that I am attending is about contemporary literature, global events and transformations of the late 20th and 21st centuries. I really like the way that the lessons are taught. The professors have a close relationship with students and the classes are very interesting.
If you like debates, if you care about social, historical, political and intellectual transformations over the last 30 years, if you like literature, if you like developing your critical thinking, you are in the right place!
I am inspired by social, global events – problems that concern the world. I am inspired by a thirst for knowledge about other cultures, languages, countries and the world. I am keen on reading, because through it, I can discover the world.
I really love the organization of the classes, the methods used by academics for teaching. I like the relationship that there is between academics and students. I love the considerable number of societies that allow us to know new people, socialize and follow our passions.
