My research expertise spans English Literature, especially the Gothic and other modes of the Fantastic in fiction, the Environmental Humanities and Game Studies. I am a member of the Manchester Centre for Youth Studies where I develop participatory research projects with young people on climate change and culture and co-director of the Manchester Game Studies Network, where I focus on analogue and material games.
