Equality and Diversity Conference

We are delighted to invite you to the first Faculty of Education Equality and Diversity Conference, 17 July 2019 in the Brooks Building, Birley Fields Campus, Manchester Metropolitan University, M15 6GX.

The day will be centred around the lived realities of student experiences and on work in placements, and will focus on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) experiences and on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning + (LGBTQ+) experiences.

Practitioners, students and academics are all welcome to come along
Explore some of the barriers and challenges to student success in practice settings
Explore how to create welcoming, supportive and inclusive settings
Share good practice and find out more about areas that you might be unsure about.
There will be a number of sessions including:

Lunch will be available and will include vegetarian and vegan options.

Throughout the day there will be a friendly atmosphere and a chance to talk with students as well as with LGBT and BAME practitioners and academics about any issues in practice.
