Jamie Halliwell, PhD Student, is Appointed Role at Royal Geographic Society

Jamie Halliwell is a PhD student based within Human Geography at Manchester Met.

Jamie Halliwell has been apopinted website officer for the Social and Cultural Geography Research Group, which is attached to the Royal Geographic Society (with the Insititute of British Geographers).

Jamie's role will be to maintain the website of the Social and Cultural Geography Research Group and to promote interdisciplinarity and events surrounding the group's research interests. The post will last until 2018.

Jamie is currently a PhD student within Human Geography in the faculty of Humanities, Languages and Social Science here at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is studying the geographies of Eurovision Song Contest fandom and its construction and negotiation of fan identity.
