"The support that tutors provide is excellent and having office drop in hours is great"
What do you like most about your course?

The variety of periods studied and the options available. There is something for everyone on the course, from ancient to modern. The tutors are particularly good and keep the subjects interesting and engaging. The support that tutors provide is excellent and having office drop in hours is great. The facilities are brilliant, there is always a computer available and the library is open 24hrs! It’s good to be surrounded by people who have a passion for history, and you meet some amazing people, make great friends and having them around for mutual support is a fantastic experience. Man Met is a great, the course, the city and the people come together to make it a fun and amazing time!

What skills do you feel you have gained/developed during your studies at Man Met?

Much more confidence both personally and academically. My critical thinking has developed and my research and referencing has improved vastly.

Have you taken part in any extracurricular activities or projects alongside your studies?

How has this complimented your time at university? I have become a Peer mentor and Course Rep. Both have really helped my confidence grow and have helped develop my interpersonal skills. This has been extremely helpful, especially when it comes to presentation work. The course rep work is a great way of getting to know the tutors on your course and allows the students a voice on how the course is run.
