This one-day course focuses on developing core CBT skills for health (e.g. nurses, GPs, pharmacists) and mental health (e.g. mental health nurses, support workers, social workers, occupational therapists) professionals. The course introduces the theory behind the cognitive behavioural model and common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, but focuses predominantly in the practice of CBT skills. The aim of the course is to provide attendees with an understanding of the model and of how it conceptualises mental ill health and equip them with essential CBT skills.
