This one-day course provides what effective Relationships Education (RE) should be provided in Primary Schools. Since the changes to the Children’s and Social Work Bill (2017) Primary Schools are required to cover: Families and people who care for me; Caring relationships; Respectful relationships; Online relationships, and Being safe. As well as these topic areas being covered, Primary Schools need to ensure children are also confident and able to communicate concerns of abuse. However, Primary School teachers sometimes find these topics difficult to discuss at a level young children understand. This course therefore aims to address these issues and ensure teachers have a robust scheme of work and a Relationship Education policy in place that reflects their teaching, and when sharing this policy with parents and the wider community.
