I began studying Philosophy, Classical Civilisation & Art History at The University of Manchester and then went on to the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School. I started working at MMU during my studies and fell so in love with my job that I never left! I love the culture and camaraderie in HE and don't feel I would want to move into the private sector now.
This role has allowed to flex many of my creative muscles and has developed my skills in digital and print marketing, copywriting, project management and even as a teacher and faciliator (something I am hoping to develop further in the future).
As part of the Centre for Innovation & Knowledge Exchange (CIKE), I am on hand to help our academics engage in Knowledge Exchange whether through organising events, designing and delivering e-marketing campaigns or by using social media as a vehicle to interact with other professionals.
I am also currently getting to grips with the CPD Apply process so I can be a customer facing point of contact for our CPD students.
I am drawn to variety and innovation and like to give every project I work on the personal touch.
In my spare time I write as a columnist for eHarmony UK and my own personal blog. I also like to bake, crochet, play guitar and am part of Manchester Show Choir (a charity choir that rasies money for Christie Hospital and cancer research).
