I am a Registered Adult Nurse with experience in a variety of clinical settings; I am a Specialist Community Practitioner and Nurse Prescriber and have 13 years' experience in Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting). Karen holds the Post Graduate Certificate in Education and in January 2013 joined the teaching team at MMU as a senior lecturer on the PGDip/BSc (Hons) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing programme (SCPHN).
In December 2013 I became the Award Leader for Health Visiting. Prior to joining the team at MMU I worked as a Health Visitor, as the Children and Families Health Development Co-ordinator within a Public Health Team, the Pathway Leader for Health Visiting on the BSc (Hons) SCPHN programme at Birmingham City University and most recently was the manager of a Public Health Nursing team.
