Gervase has over 25 years of experience in Occupational Health
and Safety compliance and corporate management of Occupational Health and
Gervase started his career as a Chemist for the MOD, then for
a number of years, became an Occupational Hygienist for BAe Systems. He moved
into regulatory compliance as an inspector and H&S manager for Blackburn
Borough Council, and then into the education sector as a Safety Health and
Environment Manager for Bolton College, winning various awards for Corporate H&S.
In 2001 he then set up his own successful Health and Safety Consultancy, with a number of diverse clients many of which he acts as the competent H&S advisor including The NHS, Ferranti Technologies, and The Samaritans along with several SME's.
Today he combines his time running the consultancy and for two days a week lecturing at the university.

Over the years Gervase has conducted research on the behalf
of both his employers (MOD and BAe Systems) and consultancy clients, into both
Health and Safety, and Environmental matters e.g. Environmental Sustainability
education for Salford University.
