Dr Nora (Panoraia) Andriopoulou: is a lecturer in Psychology at MMU and a Chartered Psychologist with British Psychological Society. Nora studied her first degree at the University of Northumbria and her Master’s degree at the University of Kent. She then returned to Greece where she was fully trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy. While in Greece, she worked as a practitioner psychologist for more than 10 years both in private practice and in the public sector (Hellenic Centre for Mental Health and Research). She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of adults with anxiety disorders, depression and personality disorders. She has been a trainer and supervisor for CB therapists since 2006.She is also a Diplomate of Academy of Cognitive Therapy and a Founding member of the Hellenic Society of Cognitive Psychotherapies (H.S.C.P.). Nora has had training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy and is now a trainee Schema Therapist. In 2013, she completed her PhD (Department of Psychology, University of Crete) which examined the “Cognitive, Emotional and Motivational aspects of Adult Attachment”. Her research interests lie within the areas of clinical/counselling psychology and psychotherapy, psychopathology, psychological well-being, and attachment.
She is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy.
