I have been a qualified social worker since 1981 and my previous employment includes:

Officer (Children's Social Care and Social Work).
I teach the following areas on our undergraduate programme:
I am the Year Lead for the second year of our MA Social Work Programme.
I teach the following areas on our postgraduate and post-qualifying/CPD social work programmes:
I supervise MA Social Work dissertation students, mainly in areas related to children and families social work.
My doctoral research explored understandings of critically reflective practice, with experienced social workers, in the context of post-qualifying social work education.
I recently completed a project in collaboration with colleagues at MMU, University of Central Lancashire and Liverpool John Moores University, to investigate post-care adults’ experiences of social work education.
