The MMU Resourcing team provide a high quality, professional resourcing service to colleagues across the University and candidates.

The team is comprised of resourcing specialists who are on-hand to offer managers expert recruitment advice on the entire end-to-end recruitment process; from job design, pay and grading, post approval, advertising campaign strategies, to interview best practice, and beyond. Our goal is help you obtain the best candidate for the job, in the shortest period of time possible.

A strong commitment to excellent customer service ensures our candidates are provided with a positive first impression of life at the University and sets the tone for their future employment MMU. Quality, timeliness, flexibility and customer service are the core values that inform every area our work.

We are responsible for:

  • Assisting managers with their online Recruitment Requests
  • Supporting the development of job descriptions/person specifications
  • Evaluating and grading posts
  • Advice around advertising campaigns
  • Managing online applications and candidate queries
  • Facilitating online shortlisting and inviting candidates for assessment
  • Written offers of employment

Organisational Development and Training provides mandatory training for anyone involved in Recruitment and Selection; it is advised that when you have identified the need to recruit you ensure everyone involved has attended or is signed up to the course. The course runs throughout the year and can be found on myHR.
