ABOUT MY CAREER

I chose to study at Manchester Met because the cost of living in Manchester is reasonable compared to other big cities.

My first job after graduating was as an Accounts Executive at a factory in Seberang Perai Selatan. I found this position through vacancy post in newspaper.

I am now a lecturer at a public university. I am teaching forensic accounting and financial accounting and reporting subjects.

The skills that I gained at Manchester Met that I use the most in my career is analytical thinking. Most of our assignments are not straight forward and need further analysis and examination of knowledge which you would not find in your textbook.

Since graduating I have continued my professional development by undergoing an ACCA, Master’s in information technology, Master’s in Accounting and Finance and PhD in Accounting.

I’M INSPIRED BY

I am inspired by my cousin who studied in the USA.

MY TOP TIP FOR STUDENTS IS

Analytical thinking, teamwork and the ability to make a rational decision are important skills.
