There are two ways you can apply:
Directly to Manchester Metropolitan University
You can apply online for a postgraduate research course:
- If you would like to propose your own research project, we recommend that you contact the relevant Research Degrees Co-ordinator within your chosen area of interest to discuss your proposal. To apply, select the subject area closest to your interests at our Find a Research Degree page and follow the link provided.
- Alternatively, there are specific research projects advertised on our website. Some are offered with a scholarship, others are classed as ‘self-funded’. To apply, go to the project advert and follow the link provided. The advert includes a reference number specific to the project, which you must quote in your application. You must apply by the advertised closing date.
It is important to complete the additional Postgraduate Research Degree Supplementary Information form and upload it to the Student Documents section of your online application. Please also upload as many of the required supporting documents as possible:
- Two references, passport copy, qualification transcripts and certificates (with English translation for non-UK qualifications), English language proficiency evidence where relevant.
If you cannot apply online, please complete the Postgraduate Research Degree Application Form and submit it by email to email@example.com along with your supporting documents.
