Entry requirements if you have studied in Bahrain

Foundation Year

Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama / Tawjihiyah (General Certificate of Secondary Education) OR High School Diploma of Secondary Education with required grades. 

 

 

Undergraduate Courses

Tawjihiyah or High School Diploma of Secondary Education and successful completion of a recognised foundation year

OR

1 year of Bachelor's degree at a recognised university with required grades

OR

2 year Diploma or Associate Degree from a recognised institution

OR

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) International Foundation (applies to selected undergraduate courses only) with required grades. Please contact the International Office with any queries.

Undergraduate advanced entry and top-up degrees

On case-by-case basis.  

Postgraduate Courses

4 year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution with required grades.

MPhil/PhD

Masters' Degree from a recognized institution with required grades. 

English Language Requirements

Undergraduate courses

For Undergraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

Postgraduate courses

For Postgraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.5 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

If you have a UK qualification

If you have studied UK qualifications such as A Levels, you can calculate your UCAS Tariff points then check the individual course descriptions to see if you meet requirements. You can also find the minimum IB scores required by checking these descriptions.
