Entry requirements if you have studied in Brazil

Foundation Year

Certificado de Ensino Médio - Four passes with good grades, including relevant subjects

Undergraduate Courses

Certificado de Ensino Médio with high grades plus a recognized foundation year


1 year of university studies at a recognised Brazilian institution may be considered for Year 1 entry

Undergraduate advanced entry and top-up degrees

Holders of the Nível Tecnológica could be eligible for second or third year entry to an undergraduate degree

Postgraduate Courses

Bacharel/Licenciado (4 years or more in duration)


Mestrado with good grades

English Language Requirements

Undergraduate courses

For Undergraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

Postgraduate courses

For Postgraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.5 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

If you have studied UK qualifications such as A Levels, you can calculate your UCAS Tariff points then check the individual course descriptions to see if you meet requirements. You can also find the minimum IB scores required by checking these descriptions.
