Foundation
You must have:
Overall pass of 50% - Grade 12 subjects
Exception:
New Brunswick – Anglophone System
60%, C or Acceptable, depending on the system used by the school.
New Brunswick – Francophone System
55% overall pass
Undergraduate
We will consider students for undergraduate study who have completed Canadian High School Diploma
We typically require students to achieve a minimum of between 65% and 75% from the following provinces:
Alberta General High School Diploma with five Grade 12 subjects. (Note – on transcript Grade 12 subjects start with 3 eg 30 or 31)
Manitoba High School Graduation Diploma; at least five credits at the 300 level in at least four subject areas; grade below per subject.
New Brunswick High School Graduation Diploma with five acceptable subjects at Grade 12.
Newfoundland High School Graduation Diploma with five subjects at university preparation level Grade 12.
North West Territories General High School Diploma with five subjects at Grade 12.
Nova Scotia High School Completion Certificate with five subjects at level four or five.
Nunavut Secondary School Certificate/Diploma with five subjects at Grade 12.
Ontario Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma at advanced level with six grade 12 U, U/C or M courses including Grade 12 English.
Prince Edward Island High School Graduation Diploma with five subjects
Quebec Diplôme d’Etudes Collègiales (DEC)
Saskatchewan Complete grade 12 Standing/Division IV Standing (Secondary School Diploma) in 5 subjects
We typically require students to achieve a minimum of between grade C+ and A from the following provinces:
British Columbia Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with five Grade 12 subjects.
Yukon Territory Senior Secondary School Graduation Diploma with five Grade 12 subjects.
Undergraduate advanced entry and top-up degrees
You can apply to join a bachelor’s degree course at Manchester Met in its second or third year if you have completed a relevant two or three year diploma from your province, subject to mapping.
Postgraduate
You must have a bachelor degree awarded by a university that is officially recognised in your country.
We typically require a GPA between 2.7 – 3.6/4 or 65% - 75%. (Other scales are considered)
If you studied UK qualifications, such as A levels

Visa requirements
You will need a visa to study in the UK unless you:
- are a British citizen
- are a citizen of a European Economic Area (EEA) member state or Switzerland
- have a visa to stay in the UK for another purpose that allows you to study. This might be because you are the husband, wife, partner or child of someone in the UK and have a dependent visa.

Tuition fees for 2023/2024 courses
Taught courses
You can use our online prospectus to check tuition fees for individual courses.
Some courses may have additional costs, for example for field trips, equipment, materials or professional / statutory body registration fees. Estimates are provided in the course listings. We will confirm fees as part of your offer.
Undergraduate taught courses
- If we classify you as an EU or Non-EU International student, you will normally pay between £17,000 and £18,500.
Postgraduate taught courses
- If we classify you as an EU or Non-EU International student, you will normally pay between £17,000 and £19,000.

Living costs
It sounds obvious, but your living costs really depend on your lifestyle – how you want to spend your free time.
We suggest you budget to spend at least £6,000 for the academic year, in addition to your accommodation costs and tuition fees. Around £9,000 will help you enjoy more of the sights and attractions that Manchester and the UK has to offer.
