Entry requirements if you have studied in Denmark

Foundation Year

Pædagogisk Grunduddannelse (PGU) (Basic Education Certificate) holders may be eligible for Foundation Year entry.  

Undergraduate Courses

Bevis for Højere Forberedelseseksamen (HF) (Higher Preparatory Examination Certificate) or Bevis for Højere Handelseksamen (HHX) / Bevis for Højere Teknisk Eksamen (HTX) (Higher Commerce Examination / Higher Technical Examination Certificate) or Bevis for Studentereksamen (Secondary Education Graduation Certificate) holders may be eligible for Yr 1 entry.

Undergraduate advanced entry and top-up degrees

Korte Videregående Uddannelser (KVU) / (AK) (Short-Cycle Professional Higher Education Diploma (AP))or Afgangsbevis / Eksamensbevis (Final Examination Certificate from a specialised institute) or Basisuddannelse: Grunduddannelse / Bifagsexamen / Examen Artium or Mellemlange Videregående Uddannelser (MVU) (Professional title / Medium Cycle Higher Education Diploma) holders may be eligible for Yr 3 entry, subject to an appropriate subject match.

Postgraduate Courses

Bachelor degree or Candidatus Philosophiae or Diplomingeniør (Engineer) or Professionsbachelor (Professional Bachelor degree) holders may be eligible for PGT study.

MPhil/PhD

Magisterkonfereus / Magister Artium or Master's degree / Kandidat / Candidatus / Candidata.

English Language Requirements

Undergraduate courses

For Undergraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

Postgraduate courses

For Postgraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.5 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

If you have a UK qualification

If you have studied UK qualifications such as A Levels, you can calculate your UCAS Tariff points then check the individual course descriptions to see if you meet requirements. You can also find the minimum IB scores required by checking these descriptions.

U.S. Student Scholarships

We are pleased to offer scholarships worth £2000 each, to new undergraduate Manchester Met students who are a national of, or permanently domiciled in, the USA.

The scholarship will be awarded automatically when you enrol and no application is required.

Please note you will not be notified that you have been awarded this scholarship and your offer letter will still quote the original (full) tuition fee, however if you are eligible it will be awarded after you enrol and before your fees are due. Your CAS will also include information about the scholarship.

This £2000 can be applied to your deposit, but please bear in mind that you will still need to cover the remaining balance.
