Entry requirements if you have studied in United Arab Emirates

Foundation Year

Holders of the Higher Secondary School Certificate - the Tawjihiyya

Undergraduate Courses

Students who have completed a recognised foundation year, Higher College of Technology Diploma, Associate Degree (American University), University Diploma or the first year at an Emirati university may be considered. 

Undergraduate advanced entry and top-up degrees

Applicants who hold a Higher College of Technology Higher Diploma with very high grades or who have successfully completed 2 years of a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered for level 5 entry.

Postgraduate Courses

Holders of a good UK Honours Degree, A good (4 years) Bachelor Degree from a recognised university in UAE with two years' work experience.

MBA requires a good honours degree and a minimum of 3 years managerial and /or professional experience in a full time position.

MPhil/PhD

Holders of a good Bachelor degree and a Master's degree. Each application will be assessed on its own merit and relevant work experience will be taken into consideration

We accept qualifications based on education systems from other countries such as India, Pakistan, Iran and the USA. Please refer to the relevant country pages for the appropriate entry requirements.

English Language Requirements

Undergraduate courses

For Undergraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.0 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

Postgraduate courses

For Postgraduate courses, we usually ask for IELTS 6.5 (No less than 5.5 in any section) or equivalent.

If you have a UK qualification

If you have studied UK qualifications such as A Levels, you can calculate your UCAS Tariff points then check the individual course descriptions to see if you meet requirements. You can also find the minimum IB scores required by checking these descriptions.
