Completing your course

If you are graduating

When you graduate, you will receive extended access to these key services for a further two years after your course end date, as a benefit of being a member of the alumni community

This access is to ensure that graduating students have the additional resources needed to support their next steps, following their time at University.

Access to the following services will end four months after your course end date:

  • Manchester Met PCs* or remote computing services
  • On-campus WiFi (eduroam)
  • Access to Campus IT facilities, such as some Library services*
  • Printing on campus*

* Please note that library access ends 90 days after your course end date, so after this point you would need to access these IT facilities in an alternative campus building, or apply for alumni membership of the Library.

If you are not graduating

For those not graduating, the following timescales apply.

Please note: if you are withdrawing or suspending your studies, see the sections below instead.

Access to the following services will end four months after your end date:

What you need to do

We recommend that you save any important information to your own storage in advance of your access being removed.

You’ll receive several closure notifications via your University email account in the weeks leading up to your account closure.

When you receive these emails, you will need to start moving anything you need to keep from your university email and OneDrive account to a secure location outside of the University network. This might be particularly important if you need to save files for further studies or employment opportunities.

For support with accessing these systems, please contact the IT Service Desk.
