Who am I?
Prior to joining MMU in 2007 I worked at 3 national law firms as a solicitor. My role at Laytons Solicitors, Manchester included providing general advice on employment law and the rights and obligations conferred through an employment relationship to a variety of clients. I also advised on the employment aspects of corporate transactions. This included advising on TUPE, due diligence, negotiating business sale agreements, warranties and indemnities and the preparation of employment-related documentation. I was an associate solicitor at Tughans Solicitors which is one of the leading commercial law firms in Belfast. I acted for a broad range of clients across many industry sectors. I also advised on the employment aspects of corporate transactions. I completed my training contract at Whittles. I acted for the GMB in respect of all employment matters ranging from day to day contact with trade union representatives to representation at Tribunal.
