Who am I?
Maria taught at three other UK universities before joining MMU in 2014. In addition to lecturing, she has worked in a consultancy capacity for health workers in the London Borough of Camden, providing advice and training on end of life issues and the practical application of the law governing consent to and refusal of medical treatment.
Maria’s research interests lie in the legal regulation of the beginning and end of life, criminal defences based on medical conditions and other areas where criminal law and medical law overlap
