Dr Rebecca Shears

Rebecca’s research interests revolve around host-pathogen interactions, particularly bacterial pathogens of the respiratory system, and gastrointestinal-dwelling nematodes. Rebecca has worked in academic labs and the pharmaceutical industry, and has a network of collaborators across the globe, including the University of Manchester, Queen Mary’s University of London, Texas Children’s hopsital, Universidad San Francisco de Quito - Ecuador, MRC Unit The Gambia and University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
